The next is do an Oral presentation on earth science in which I chose doing the elements of the periodic table which is already posted.
Another is to have a minimum 60 entries in your commonplace note book. what is a commonplace notebook you may ask?
I do LEMI(leadership education mentoring institute) and TJED(Thomas Jefferson education ).If you are interested in looking into what I do check out this site http://www.tjed.org/.
We do classics not textbooks and we learn and are taught the way the founding fathers and great philosophers were taught. Well what does this have to do with what is a commonplace notebook? Well I will Tell you,a common place notebook is a notebook were you can wright down your impressions,or goals and what you have learned that day.(this is the key to more effective education)
The next is a minim of 60 core book studies. Core book what is a core book? A core book is a book you would defy and always go to, for example my core book is my scriptures, I am a Christian Mormon so I use King James version Bible, Pearl of great price,Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants. Then we have to do a minim of 60 math lessons of approved math study course ( I am doing Pre- Algebra and Geometry)
Weekly plan are in order to with a minim of planing your weeks out for 12 weeks. (which is really helpful and organized my days). Earth science for my exams to certified. We have to memorize the following and be able to define it for the exam.
atmosphere,biodiversity, biomes,biotic,ecosystem,extinction,system,aesthetic,ethical,social, economic,stellar,photosynthesis,biomass,energy,species,big bang theory,blue shift,heavy element mass,nuclear fusion,red shift,theory,universe, astronomy,intelligent design,theory of plate tectonics, convergent, divergent,transform,tectonic plate,convection current,hypothesis,seafloor spreading,biomes,climate,weather,geosphere,biosphere,hydrosphere,volcanic eruption,hot spot,fault,ground water,resivoir,salinity,glacier,biological dynamics,ocean.lake,river,fresh water,tide,geologic time,water cycle,carbon cycle,climate,decomposer,matter,nitrogen cycle,ozone layer,depletion,fossil fuel lithosphere and absorbed.
YES THAT WAS 72 WORDS TO DEFINE!!! But yes I PASSED!!!
Another is have a garden plan. Here are the plan to give you an idea of what charts we filled out.
1.What would I like to grow?
2.Why do I want to grow them?
3.What can I grow in my area?
4.Do I need to grow inside or outside?
5.How much room do I need?
6.Were will I grow my garden?
7.What supplies do i need?
8.What is my budget? How will I pay for it?
9.Who will help me get the supplies?
10. Do I have my parents help and support?
11.Draw your garden plan.
So that is what we did and I chose to just do some sprouting so it could be cheap, fast and organic!!! Plus no weeds!!!
The last and Final thing is pass Math, Science and Georgics exams. (Math you use your test book from your pkg) and (Since you define all 72 earth science words)
