Summer Science Day Camp:
By studying great scientists and learning hands on experiments we as a group can become amazing little scientists. We as a group will learn about science and be able to present projects and at the end of the month have a fun science fair.
The group will meet once a week for 2 hours to learn and have fun. We in this time will do experiments and analyze our experiments. We will also learn about scientists and discuss what we can learn from them and how they can become little scientist. We will also be learning the Habits of a Scientist. After our science fair at the end of the month we will have rewards for those who have participated. We look forward to seeing your child, to have fun, and to explore the world together.
Where: Baker Family Home Private Library

This program is put on by: Charisa Baker, she is certified as a Pyramid Project graduate. As a Pyramid Project graduate she has learned: A whole new approach to math and science. Inteligro Math as study; its structure is Logic; its method is Habits of a Scientist. She has learned how to use the subjects of Logic, Science and Math
in order to find truth. She Specializes in earth science and loves to teach others about the beauty of the earth. She is also educated at home doing a Thomas Jefferson Leadership education, and loves to learn.
This year I felt really motivated and excited to share my passion for science with others and felt if I could do something to teach younger kids to get excited about it early at a young age, maybe they might have a passion for it later in life. This being said I took a couple weeks planning out my goals and what I wanted to see in this class.
Like many others I am sure, everything did not turn out 100% according to plans but it turned out great. :) My goals for this class was to: Teach them the Habits of a scientist, teach them the importance of science and how we use it in our everyday life, teach them about the great men and women of science and how their discoveries have changes how we lived today. We did pretty well considering the age group I was teaching.
I also considered these things as we finished our last day this week. I may have not been able to teach them everything I wanted them to know but they are very young. I mean their kids! :) I felt that the experiments and the little bit that we analyzed from them turned out swell. I definitely found this to be a good learning experience even for me on how to make things a little more kids friendly for the future classes I plan on doing. However it was a great success and I am so proud of the turn out. :)
We made the following experiments: Yogurt (Pasteurization), Flubber, Magnet Race, How many drops can your penny hold?, Ice cream, homemade bubblegum, homemade bouncy balls, ballon experiment ( electric waves experiment), We also did an experiment with milk dye and dish soap.
We had a blast.
The Scientists we talked about were: Louis Pasteur, Thomas Edison, and Albert Einstein.
